In the Triad area? Visit our sister restaurant, Mario's Pizza!
Looking for authentic Italian spaghetti near me online? Fortunately, you’re in luck. It’s not hard to find. After all, culinary perks of living in the United States are our diverse options of different types of food. One of the most popular of those cuisines is Italian. Specifically, spaghetti and pasta (and pizza of course – we’ll get to that in bit!).
Unfortunately, not all restaurants create their spaghetti dishes equally. While some folks think all you have to do is throw some pasta in a pot of boiling water and heat up some sauce, there’s a little more to it if you’re in the mood for the real deal. Fortuitously, our team is up to the task! If you’re looking for the best spaghetti in Charlotte or Hickory, check out Tony’s Pizza.
Moreover, all of our Italian dishes come with a side salad and garlic knots. Therefore, you’ll get a complete meal and may even end up with leftovers for a midnight snack!
In the early 1880s, American’s love affair with spaghetti began along with the waves of Italians immigrating to the United States. With their rich culture, they also brought delicious food.
Although, it’s interesting to note, a French immigrant opened the first actual pasta plant. He located it in Brooklyn, NY where our owners also began their cooking journey. From that spot, the love of spaghetti flourished and grew across the states in restaurants and homes.
Through the years, our owners perfected our spaghetti along with other Italian dishes passed down through their family from Calabria, Italy. Eventually, they moved down into North Carolina and opened Mario’s and Tony’s Pizza. Notably, we’ve perfected and served North Carolina residents traditional Italian dishes for over 40 years. Thus, you’re certainly in for a treat when you come for a taste at Tony’s Pizza.
As you’re searching for spaghetti near me, you may wonder why it, and pasta, are so popular in the first place. In fact, Americans consume over 5.95 billion (yes, we said billion) pounds of pasta per year. Below, we put together a few reasons why pasta is so beloved.
Generally, pasta uses inexpensive ingredients (when they’re readily available). Typically, flour, salt, water and eggs are easy to find.
Likewise, it’s relatively easy to make. However, as we noted earlier, it’s not always as simple as cooking the pasta and covering it in sauce. If you’re looking for authentic Italian spaghetti near me, let us do the cooking!
Most often, a little bit of pasta goes a long way. Rarely, are you hungry after a filling plate of Italian. Plus, the carbs give you energy to burn throughout the day.
From all the different shapes to what you pair it with, pasta can create a different taste experience nearly every time you eat it. Even for spaghetti, this is true. For instance, try it with meatballs or a meat sauce. Or, keep it simple with only a tomato-based sauced and mozzarella or parmesan sprinkled on top. Better yet, add some other fun toppings such as chicken, pepperoni or olives.
Another great reason pasta is popular is its longevity. Keep it in your pantry for up to 2 years for an easy, spur-of-the-moment meal. Or, just come to Tony’s and we’ll do the work for you!
In addition to spaghetti, we serve other Italian dishes and American fare as well. A few of our customer favorites include:
Of course, we also serve pizza – NY-style. If you’ve never tried this Brooklyn classic, give it a go. It’s chewy, yet crispy with toppings spread to the edge. Choose it by the slice or get an entire pie in sizes ranging from 10-inches to 24-inches.
Moreover, we offer salads, appetizers and desserts to accompany your meal. Similarly, we have a menu just for kids. Currently, all are priced at $5 or less and come with a kid’s-sized drink.

Often, the best way to truly find out about a restaurant is by hearing from the experts – the customers! Below, we’ve listed a couple of our reviews.
“We just moved to this area and had been wanting to try Tony’s for several days. I must say we were very pleasantly surprised! We ordered online for pickup and the food was ready on-time and was very hot and fresh even after we got it back to our apartment. We got the Cheesy Garlic bread, which was not smothered in cheese but very sufficient. It was, however, very buttery with a strong garlic flavor. The marinara dipping sauce was some of the best I’ve had. Delicious.
We also tried the fried mushrooms which were excellent as well. Our main entree was a 15″ Pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives. I have to say it was up with the top best 2 or 3 pizzas I’ve ever had. Perfect crust, great sauce, and the mushrooms were fresh! So many places use canned mushrooms and it’s just not the same. A+++ will definitely be going here again. Can’t wait to try the calzones and subs.”
“I just made my second trip to Charlotte in a month and I just made my third trip to Tony’s pizza in a month. I am absolutely hooked on their cheesesteaks.
They are huge – the hubby and I can barely finish one. Juicy, tender chopped steak, gooey provolone and lots of grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms stuffed into a super fresh sub roll. It is as good as some that I’ve had in Philly. Really.
Our third visit was for pizza. The XL authentic NY pie was too big to fit on our kitchen table. Once again – really. I thought the sauce had a little too much oregano but I’m the only one who didn’t love it. Four famished family members couldn’t finish this filling food (felt a little like Dr Seuss there for a sec!).
My son is moving from Charlotte next month. There are a lot of things that I’m going to miss – Tony’s Pizza will definitely be one of them.”
Thank you to Eric and Sue for taking the time to help us shine! If you want to see if we have some of the best spaghetti in Charlotte, drop by for a bite! We look forward to seeing you!
